7:15 AM CDT. ‘X’ marks our Table Rock, Nebraska, eclipse viewing site with the lower right end of the ‘X’ at about the location of Lawrence. If the eclipse were to happen right now, we’d see it just fine. However, it is 5 1/2 hours until totality and we have an expansive and thickening deck of high cloudiness approaching from the west-southwest, an area of rain in central Kansas moving northeastward and an MCS in Iowa which could back-build and move southward. At a minimum, there is going to be an overcast cirrus shield. Here’s hoping we’ve been living right..
